Description
Gelatin is a natural polymer which is made of hydrolytic degradation of protein from collagen and its distinctive structure of amino acids gives it several medical benefits. Generally, gelatin is in the form of tablets, granules or powders and sometimes it can be dissolved in water before use. Gelatin is widely explored by researchers as a matrix for three-dimensional cell culture and as a component of tissue-engineering scaffolds. Gelatin has a high protein content.
