Vitamin K2 MK4 1.3% Powder is a naturally occurring vitamin that contains the basic structure of menthoquinone and has anti-bleeding effects. MK-4 is the main form of vitamin K stored in organs other than the liver. Remarkably, 97 percent of vitamin K in the human brain comes from MK-4.
What is the Mk4 form of vitamin K2?
The MK4 form of vitamin K2 can be converted from vitamin K1 by certain tissues in our body, such as the testes, pancreas and arterial walls. MK4 has been shown to decrease the risk of fractures by up to 87%.
What are the benefits of MK-4?
MK-4 promotes bone health through the formation of bone collagen. Vitamin K2 (MK-4, but not MK-7 or vitamin K1) has also been shown to prevent bone loss and/or fractures.
