Azelaic acid is a multitasking compound that is highly effective in treating acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation and melasma. This is due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antikeratinizing and antibacterial capabilities. Treatments are available in gel, foam and cream formulas in both OTC and prescription strengths.
