Calcium phosphate, an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Ca3(PO4)2, is a white crystal or amorphous powder, slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, insoluble in ethanol, acetone and ether. It is commonly used as an anti-coagulating agent, acidity regulator, nutrient supplement (calcium strengthening), flavor enhancer, stabilizer and water retention agent [1-2]. It is used medically as an acid-making agent [2].
